A Memory

The following is a memory from a Facebook post I did 4 years ago, but it holds true today, especially with what is going on in the United States at the moment. I do believe now that to LOVE is the most important thing we are supposed to do during the short time we have on earth.

LOVE. One of if not the most important thing God told us to do. All this hate is making my skin crawl. There is evil encroaching on us from every angle, yet we can’t stand together to do anything about it. “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself cannot stand.” Matthew 12:25. Jesus died for everybody regardless of the life they are living. Hate the sin, love the sinner for that is what we commanded to do. And by loving someone you take them as they are, not who you want them to be or who you think they can be or by nagging about what they could do different. Tell someone about God by showing the proof of His love, rather than shoving doctrine down their throat. Next time you feel like saying something hurtful or hateful, bite your tongue and show love instead and see what happens. You might be surprised.

Many blessings,

Emma Lee
