Writing Update

I finished the Proofread for High Heel Fight Club! Hoozah! We will be waiting for the printed proof to see if I know what I’m doing when designing card boxes, which I was totally new to before starting this project. I did a lot of research, and Vervante has a very descriptive Help section that includes templates and instructions that can help you get the job done right. I followed the template religiously, so I feel pretty good about it. Time will tell!

I am going to attempt to get a few words on the page next week for The Wild Assault. My son starts school on the 9th, so I should have some extra time in the mornings. I have a few projects that are way overdue, like inoculating and burying my mushroom logs and trying to get my house back in order after having an almost-four-year-old destroy it…for years, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The last two months have been stressful. My kid is spastic and drives me nuts, which makes focusing on anything extremely hard, but by the time I go to work in the evening, no matter how bad he managed to piss me off during the day, I miss him and just want to love on him because I know I’m not going to see him very much once he starts school. I still have an evening job, and I have to work a lot of Saturdays, so I’ll only get about 2 or 3 hours a day on the weekdays that I have to work with him. And I’ll spend most of that time fixing dinner and getting ready for work.

But none of that has anything to do with a writing update. I’ll spare you my pity party.

Many blessings,
