Writing Update

I have not been keeping up with a word count, but I have been writing! I tend to forget to check where I am when I get the urge to write, and by the time I remember, it’s too late to try and figure it out. I have lengthened chapter 6 of ‘The Wild Assault,’ and I got the things fixed in the foundational chapters that I wanted to change.

Along with working on ‘The Wild Assault,’ I have also been spending time on my 2024 Creative’s Planner. It will be the first Red Hawk Ridge Planner, available in December. No release date yet–I’m looking for the best way to publish on a budget, as I really want to do spiral bound, but it will be available in time to have it shipped before 2024. It spans January to December 2024, with fun graphics, quotes, places for notes, etc., without all the extra stuff that takes up room.

This planner is my take on the planners I have used over the last few years. I’ve taken out things I never used and added stuff I wished I had. It’s targeted at authors and content creators, but anyone can use it! I’m super excited about this project, as it’s been on my mind for around a year. Should I have started it sooner? Maybe. Am I regretful? No.

Even though the creation of this planner is tedious, I have been enjoying the process and learning new things. If you haven’t tried it yet, Canva is amazing. It is so much easier than Photoshop, and there is a free version if you don’t want to pay money!

This isn’t a paid advertisement, although I’m open to sponsorship. *hint hint*

Have a lovely weekend, and don’t forget about daylight savings time if you are in the U.S.

Many blessings,
Emma Lee Joy
