As of writing this, I am about 500 words shy of 40,000 for ‘The Wild Assault!’ By the time this goes live, or shortly after, I will have hit my mark! For a first draft, I think I’m nearly at the halfway point. ‘Blood for Honor’ is around 115,000 words, but I’m not sure what this prequel will end up at. I would like them to be around the same length, but I prefer quality over quantity without a bunch of fluff that doesn’t mean anything. ‘Blood for Honor’ was nearly 120,000 words before the last few edits, so I’m excited to see what happens with this story.
I’m not sure how long this stint of writing for ‘The Wild Assault’ will last. The last stint for ‘The Fire That Dwells With Water’ was a little over two weeks, but hey,
I go with the flow.
I started ‘The Wild Assault’ on March 26, 2023, so I would like to see if I can get the first draft done by the one-year mark. I would like to have it published next year. That’ll make three years after publishing ‘Blood for Honor,’ and I don’t want to put more of a gap between them. But, of course, I won’t publish trash, either. Time will tell how these projects will go.
I’m just going to enjoy the journey.
You can get your hands on a 2024 Planner over on Amazon. My author copies will be in early next week, finally! For the 2025 Planner, I will hopefully have it ready by Thanksgiving 2024 to avoid this mess. They will most likely only be available through this site or from me personally, and they will be spiral-bound! I found the company I want to use a little too late for the 2024 planners.

I’ll be posting more updates on the Apothecary once there is something to update on. We are in the hurry-up-and-wait stage of making tinctures, and that is very anticlimactic.
