Weekly Writing Update

I managed around 2,000 words this week! I’m finally getting back in the flow. I think I may set a goal of at least 2,000 words a week just to make sure I sit down and write a few words every day.

I’m at a slow point in the story where it sets some stuff up, and that is some of the hardest stuff for me to write, even if it isn’t boring. If it’s boring, I need to rewrite it, but I thrive on fast-paced action scenes and dramatic ones. Sitting down and making myself write calm, informative scenes is the hardest part for me, but a much-needed part of the story. I can’t always be ‘go, go, go,’ but don’t you worry. I’m getting close to being able to hit it hard.

I’m approaching the first anniversary of starting to write ‘The Wild Assault,’ so I’m hoping to get some more words in on it soon. However, at the moment, I am still stuck on what happens in ‘The Fire That Dwells With Water.’ I’m actually enjoying writing two stories at a time because when I get stuck on one, I can move to the other until inspiration strikes again, but it creates a longer writing process. But…

I have a 20% Off Sale going for the month of March over in my Apothecary. If you are interested in trying some of my products, now is a great time to get your hands on some stuff. I also have Free Shipping on orders of $35 or more, so you can save even more money! You can read more about my products here, as I had to reword and cut some stuff out to prevent Etsy from flagging some things, namely the Pain Salve and White Willow Bark Tincture. If you click on the pictures, it will take you straight to the listing in my store!

I will be straining tinctures this weekend for the second batch of products, so stay tuned for new goodies!

If you deal with ‘Day Light Savings Time,’ remember to go to bed early and set your clocks forward an hour. Godspeed to your Monday!

Many blessings,
Emma Lee Joy
