I can’t believe that 2022 is already coming to a close. This year has been sad, exciting, uncertain, busy, and many other things. It has held the death of old things, the birth of new, and the key to the future. I’m not sad to see this year end, because I can feel 2023 and what it holds in my bones–even if I can’t put it into words. Next year is going to be a year like none other. It will have its ups and downs like every other year, but there is something about 2023 that calls to me. I’m excited to see what is in store for both me personally and us humans as a collective.
The number 23 deals with prosperity, abundance, and the Lord’s provision. How cool is that? Claim it if you want it! The only thing holding you back is yourself.
Psalms 23
“Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough.
He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love.
His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss.
That’s where he restores and revives my life.
He opens before me the right path
and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness
so that I can bring honor to his name.
Even when your path takes me through
the valley of deepest darkness,
fear will never conquer me, for you already have!
Your authority is my strength and my peace.
The comfort of your love takes away my fear.
I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.
You become my delicious feast
even when my enemies dare to fight.
You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit;
you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows.
So why would I fear the future?
Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life.
Then afterward, when my life is through,
I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!”
2022 marked the end of a lot of things, but the only thing I wish to expound on here is the end of a decade of work on my debut novel Blood for Honor. I still have an audiobook I would like to record, but the story is complete. From the process of self-publishing, I learned a lot about myself and how to persevere. Birthed from the knowledge I gained in the process is my editing business. I can’t wait to help people do what I did, because I know there are more people out there like me that have a story to tell–they just don’t know where to begin.
Don’t mind my shameless plug, but if you want a book to read in 2023, check out Blood for Honor. Paperback can be found online at all the major bookstores. Both ebook and paperback versions are available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.
So cheers to all of you lovelies, and many blessings in the New Year.
Much love to you all,
Emma Lee Joy
